Tom's statement that antioxidants has been "proved" to be beneficial is what I am challenging, not the use of antioxidants. As to what dives I do, you could also raise the same question about Bill Hamilton - who does not dive. What dives I do or do not do has nothing to do with my statements on dive physiology, let alone Tom's history of putting his foot deep into his mouth. As to the organization that you claim I represent, you are way off base there. I own stock in TDI. I was asked to invest in TDI when it was first formed, and I felt, at that time, that it was worth putting some money into. I currently do not support nor endorse TDI training or TDI policy. I have never received a penny from TDI in payment or fees. In fact, I am pretty much resigned to never seeing anything return on my investment (if you can call it that). There were high hopes that TDI would degenerate into the situation it is currently in. Those hopes have vanished as TDI has steadily gone down hill. I asked Tom to back up his statements with data, as Tom making the claims. You state that divers move to techdiver and cavers to get away from ignorance, not hear more of it. Well, they sure do get an earful of ignorance from Tom. Why don't you quit attacking the messangers, and look at the message. Unsupported claims are what are being questioned, not the messanger. John
