         We (WKPP) have always had both women and men on our team,
and as yet have never given it a second thought. I would have been 
worried about the dry suit overboard issue, but I see from reading
these lists that most men don't have it figured out anyway.

         Someone asked about the "size" of the dives the women do,
and the answer to that is statisticly amorphous. Carlyanne Johnson
has added plenty of line with Steve Irving and Tim Norkus, Alex 
Hagler has done some long deep dives, and I have done some extremely 
long shots with Sondie Mohrman. Deb is the medical officer, Kelly
runs the surface a lot, Rebecca, Jennifer, and the rest do whatever
they want. Tara Tenaka and Mary Ellen Eckhoff have done a ton of
exploration, and in some pretty scary places. Neither of them have
been active lately, other than Tara in an advisory capacity.

          However the more I think about it, the more I realize 
that we do have quite a few women in our group. - G
