Bruce,
I have used them both. Since they are often ungavalized steel, wash
them carefully after salt water use.
If they have medical O2 valves, buy (or make) a medical O2 to scuba
post adapter. They're about $65 from GMC, but you can buy parts for
alot less if you look around, and assemble one yourself.
An old 1/2 inch scuba valve also mates with the threads. That's
useful if you can pump your own O2 (and skip the adapter). You'd have
to prepare the valve for O2 service, of course.
Remember, those tanks are rated at 2015 PSI!

Has anyone on this list ever used O2 tanks (D or E) for pony tanks.
