This idea of one of two things happening with the Suunto Solution is disturbing to me. I use a Suunto/Seaquest Eon, which is very similar except that it also provides tank pressure and some derived calculations from the tank pressure. It would seem that one of two things is happening: a) the BAT warning is inaccurate and is not resetting correctly, or b) you are getting stale batteries. It's not surprising that the BAT warning comes on well before actual failure, as it should, but it is bad that the warning ends up being ignored for the reasons listed. I don't have a backup computer, I've got a backup depth gauge with max needle and a bottom timer, but it doesn't give me any credit for multi-level. I usually plan my dives so that I'm still inside tables based on max depth and bottom time, but I'd rather not confront a situation where I'm waiting for the BAT indicator to fulfill it's prediction (that the computer is going to fail soon). Has anyone figured out if it is the case that the BAT indicator is not working right, or that the batteries they get from dealers are stale? Anyone got a recommendation on the best place to get a _fresh_ battery? Can they be mail ordered direct from the manufacturer, rather than from a dealer or a distributor, where they are more likely to be stale? It would be great if someone on this list knew the answers, or knew how to get in contact with Suunto, but I'm not going to hold my breath. -->Aaron
