Hi Tom,
Thanks for the correction, it is great when people who *know* rather
than speculate get involved.

You mention "events" which lead you to feel independents are dangerous.
Could you elaborate?  Not only do I use them myself, but I encourage
others to use them.  I'd feel *very* bad if I was leading people
astray.
