Hi Ken,
I agree with you 100%.

The only thing is that you seem to feel buddy diving is appropriate
for TMX diving and I don't.   This seems to be at the root of all
the mani/indie debate.  If you dive by yourself, you should dive
indie, if with another diver, both on mani.

I've only done two buddy dives in the past couple of years.  Both
with my SO.  I realised half way through the last one that she
hadn't looked my way for *ages*.  So I watched her.  For about
five minutes she didn't even glance at me.  I dropped to the
bottom and lay there inert.  It took about 5 more minutes for
her to swim right out of sight.

It's going to be a snowy day in hell before I trust *ANYONE*
underwater again.
