Carl since you made some sense I will reply.

My name Gerard G. Esposito PADI#52362. Feel free to check with PADI.
I mentioned My Instructor rating only to call attention to my professional
status. You don't know me so I'm nobody to you. Thats expected.

The shop's name won't be mentioned since the what happened effected the
relationship between BoB and I, not the shop.

The main reason for this posting is because I to had a lot of respect for Tom
Mount. But what happened in this situation hurts all of the diving industry.
If dive professionals don respect each other than why should outsiders ?

Reread the text please ; "" I explained to her that this wasn t fair since the
others didn t have to take a test why was I being singled out. I then explained
that I would take the test if it would get me a card. I called Mr.Raimo and he
told me that he refused to give me the test and
my money would be refunded."" I was only stating that I was being treated
differently. I enjoy tests. They help me learn.

As for diving NITROX, thats why I was in a nitrox class. Being an Instructor I
have trained many divemasters, physics and physiology are not new subjects to
me.

Excuse me but :
""" So, you want to go from being a PADI Instructor to a
tech instructor in less than a year... """
I didn't write that !!
I did plan on being a Nitrox Instructor. Even with my limited knowledge I know
the difference.

As for Nitrox diving experience : I have been diving for about a year on nitrox
with various mixes and I don't (do) plan deco dives.

IF Bob would like to challenge any accusations publicly, with the persons that
were there that night I'm sure I can arrange it.

If I did come up short in Toms review, then I should have been told so I can
IMPROVE in the future.

ANDI or IANTD ? Well I have worked with PADI (a real agency) for a long time
and can only go by how they service there instructors and students. My
experience with IANTD didn't compare.
I was in a IANTD course only by circumstance. I chose ANDI after a lot of
research.

As for your being impressed with a dive shop, I worked in the industry and
refuse to rate any one shop above another. I have learned that its the staff
that makes a shop. If they helped you than thats great.

Since your coming down to NY next year, maybe I'll see you on some dives or
maybe at TEK96.

thanks for replying.........................JERRY
