If someone isn't responsible enough to figure out a
Custom Mix sticker, I won't lose sleep over it.
Would you drink soda from a can marked "Experimental Beverage"
without asking someone about it first?

My reply to that (as I've stated before) is that (at the least)
one should mark their tanks well enough that others (not only
themselves) will not confuse this tank with their tanks
(small nicks in the paint which kinda make a smiley face
if you look at it upside down dont count...) Stickers
are only another (better/different) way of marking. If someone
is paying no attention at all, even a neon sign won't help matters.

>and three is the trogs who don't let marked tanks on their boats,

Then (with your NAMA tanks) lie and tell 'em its just (clean)
air. If they don't believe in nitrox, they're probably not smart
enough to use an analyzer either. Unlike the nitrox tank, this tank
(or the "CUSTOM MIX") tanks don't promise to have nitrox, they
just _might_ have nitrox.

[kind of #4]

Assuming you are talking about "clean" air, (for example)
Raimo's shop, (who understandably wants to make sure noone gets a
dirty 21% fill elsewhere and then comes back for 80%) you need 2 things....

- a NAMA (or custom mix) sticker
- an Oxygen VIP sticker
(and a content sticker)

This last sticker is removed whenever the tank owner gets a
non-clean fill (note that it need not be removed when a
clean 21% fill is done).

In the end I mark my reply to #2 as the most important, being
responsible for your own tanks, but also keeping your tanks
marked in such a way that they are distinguishable from those
of others.

Beyond that, I think a "Custom Mix" sticker along with an
O2 VIP sticker would be an improvement over the current
Nitrox/Trimix stickers. Again I ask what happens if I just
want nitrox in my trimix-marked tank? Just get a custom mix
sticker.
