This is an urban legend.   Like the choking doberman and the vanishing 
hitchhiker and the cactus that explodes and hundreds of trantulas come 
out and so forth.   It is a story that sounds good, and gets spread as 
fact.  

Those of you who are interested should read the newsgroup 
alt.folklore.urban.

And it certainly doesn't belong on techdiver.
