John, the tubes are made by XXXXXXXXXXX Glass and they charge me around 4 bucks each. The reason for the big markup is that the nickel rocket cave divers will not buy a dozen at a time - too much money, so they can not get XXXXXXXXXX to deal with them, and anyone who is dumb enough to buy a MLS light needs to pay at least 30 bucks each time to remind them of how stupid they really are, and EE should only be slightly cheaper since the nicket rockets deserve to pay the big bucks for being cheapskates. john.r.strohm@Bi*.Co* wrote: > > Dell, I have a suggestion. > > Rather than getting into a swearing contest, why don't you publish the full > specifications for the $30 test tubes, and let Mike run those specs through > a few vendors, and see what kind of quotes come back? > > Mike might have a source that you don't know about, that can deliver > something that WILL meet your spec for significantly less bucks than your > current source. > > Of course, to do the evaluation right, you'd have to tell us your current > source, order quantity, and the price you're currently paying.
