Hi Guys,

A friend's dive shop in the boondocks of southern Mexico has a chance to buy
a compressor and would like some opinions as to whether or not it is a good
deal.

<< New NA-12 10 cfm-5000 psi with 12 hp liquid cooled Kubota diesel
with
>electric start, high psi relief, 40,000 cfm filtration, manual drain,
>one yr P/L warranty ( plus one extra yr on compressor block only) at
>$12,750. We have put together a 1/2 dozen of these same units in past
>year for use on oil drilling rigs. They have worked out real well and by
>going to liquid cooled rather than air cooled on the diesel it cuts
>the vibration level considerably. The 4500 psi DOT storage tanks are
>$400/ea The manual drain is simple as we manifold the drain lines so there
is
>only one valve to drain every 25-30 min. The compressor block is made in
>Okla. City and is similar to Bauer with some of the parts
>interchangeable. It's weight is approx 600 lbs and it's dimensions are 28 in
>x 64 in x 36 in >>

I know nothing about the cost and value of these types of compressors. Is
this a good deal? Are there any major concerns? I'd really appreciate any
comments on this "deal".

Thanks a lot for your time, Scott
