Scott, you are right - it was Christa , the school teacher. Sally Ride was a pilot. Again , the joke : "Where did Christa McCaulif spend her summer vacation?" Answer: "All over Florida". I think that fiasco ended the dillatante space program, not that Christa did anything wrong, but that when it gets serious, the hard core players die and nobody expects any diffrenert, but when a civilian gets it, it looks bad, just like the Wakulla Too Project where they tried to dive slobs like Jil and her husband and a band of homeless misfits and gearless waifs who had no business being there, and then killed some poor old guy because they don't konw how to run a dive operation. Forget that they got nothing at all done. If one of use gets killed or bent doing ridiculous distances and severely abbreviated in water decompressions it is not going to be a big mystery or some shocking event, as we ar the pros and we hav been doign it for yeears, and we know the risks. Obviously, publicity seeking dillatantes who are also pathetic bowls of jello have no business being there, and serve only as bad exmaples and draw unwanted negative publicity to the game. To make matters worse, we have these strokes, led by Jill, lying about the whole thing, and then getting wacked doing weenie dives on a constant PPO2 CCR - pathetic, pathetic , pathetic.
