They do not fail under those circumstances. If you put them together
wrong, like backwards bulkheads, anything interfering with the lid
fitting, etc, they would fail at 30 feet. Do it right and they operate
as advertised. I have litteraly had over 100 of them and know what makes
them and breaks them, and it is not apparent to the untrained eye.

Mako scooters do exactly what they are supposed to do as well as it can
be done, and do so for a very low price. 

We are lucky that Oceanic even screws with making these.
