Jeff, This is amazing stuff. I really like the idea of solo rebreather diving past the Hinkel. This is right up there with simulated hangings. I hope everyone reads this story. Rod Nairne is an extremely nice guy (and friend of the WKPP) and it is very scary to think that at any time his Top Gun rebreather is close to being out of ammo. You see if this Top Gun is anything like his previous model, he has to press the dry suit inflator every so many breaths to inject oxygen. You can imagine the Mig-29s chasing him and he goes to press the button on the 20 millimeter cannon and -----phissstttt--- zippo, nada, bupkiss. "We have a negative function on the manual override."
