Sorry to hear your experience while on diving vacations in the keys.   There
ARE several operators that "bend" the rules,  but you gotta get away from 
the cattle boats.  They MUST catter to a large market.   Six packers,  many 
times going out with 3-5 people will fulfill your "techie" type of dive most
of the time.

In nearbu Miami,   we have several operators who WILL cater to "techies"  
and a whole array of "techie" sites for your diving pleasures.   From open
penetrable wrecks at 110' (actually some others even shallower) like the 
Tortugas to the HydroAtlantic at 165'  to the Tenneco Towers at 190'  and 
more,  much more.

BTW,  the six packer doesn't necessarily mean a small boat.   Some are just 
BIG boats used for six people,  so you go more comfortable, even with ALL of
your gear.

Give us a heads up ringer or e-mail next time.  We could have set you up 
with an operator for your dives.
