If we have to go with a dedicated valve, there's absolutely no reason to
have to introduce a third type when there are already two out there
causing sufficent compatibility problems (actually, there are already
three, with two sizes of DIN, so it'd be a fourth being introduced now).
I'd say make the yoke valve the sport diver one, with only air and
perhaps EAN32 (since its MOD reaches all the way down to 130') allowed,
and use DIN valves for anything "interesting", including air, nitrox,
trimix, and even argon, and train people to always analyze a DIN-valve
tank before use (ie. train people who don't have analyzers to stay away
from them).

If they get away with introducing a nitrox valve, they'll want to foist
a trimix valve on us next. Most of the trimix divers I know only have
one set of doubles, and depending on the dive may have either air, nitrox,
or trimix in them. Having to have three sets, or three manifolds, would
be a pain in the arse.

Speaking of which, regardless of whether you put a NITROX or a TRIMIX or
no bumper sticker at all on your doubles, it's wrong 2/3rds of the time.
I've often thought that the bumper sticker should instead say something
like one of the following:

      MY TANKS
      MY TANK (for a single)
      RTFCL (Read The Contents Label)
      ANALYZE BEFORE USE
IS IT AIR? ARE YOU FEELING LUCKY?
