I lean towards the latter. I can understand wanted to practice with all your new tech toys, but the dive in question is a quite unique, and nice dive in iteself, and ice diving a discipline with its own especial problems and solutions - making it, to my mind, a dumb dive to use for a tech practice dive. A freind of mine won a dive a while back in the NE Aquarium's big tank. I suppose he could have turned up in full teck gear and explained he just wanted some practice, but most of us would regard that as idiocy. The point being, if one needs practice, its probably a better idea to make some "dedicated" practice type dives, where the conditions and hazards are relatively normal and neutral, than muck up a perfectly interesting specialized dive with inappropriate gear. Beside, the fact they were all the doubles were Genesis says something. +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Please send messages for the WreckDiver list to: wreckdiver@wreckdiver.com Send subscription and help requests to: wreckdiver-request@wreckdiver.com +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+
