August, 1994. Morehead City, NC. Air temperature high-80s. Water Temperature mid-80s. Dive on the broken and scattered remains of the Suloide laying in 60fsw. Bad weather had forced all dive charters to settle for shallow, protected inshore dives. As we were pulling up to the site to anchor we spied a diver boarding one of the larger charter vessels in the area. The diver climbing the ladder was wearing a vulcanized rubber drysuit, a set of double 120s and a helmet with a UK 400 mounted on each side. The crew and divers on our boat all had a good laugh. (Somehow, considering the temperatures, I imagine the inside of his suit was anything but dry!)
