          Hey folks,

Didn't introduce myself last time. Pat Moran. Live in
D.C. and mostly dive wrecks from Point Pleasant, NJ (Seeker)
to Nags Head, NC (Sea Fox) although will be venturing to
Hatteras for a number of dives this season. Usually
found at Indian River Inlet, DE (Fiesta). Mostly air dives,
trimix for deep (new cert), not a cave diver yet, double LPs
manifolded, harness/backplate/bag, cave light, pretty much
Hogarthian style setup, blah, blah, blah....

          Anyway,

Last night I discovered the source of a growing leak in the
shoulder area of my drysuit and I was wondering if anyone
could answer a few questions for me.

I have a DUI crushed neoprene suit which began leaking
slightly this season. Turns out the leak is through the
rubber coated fabric on which the zipper is mounted. At the
shoulder, this fabric receives quite a bit of stress and it
seems to have worn the rubber coating away in some small
places so that the fabric below is clearly visible from both
the inside and the outside of the suit. Gave it a leak test
last night and it is definitely pouring water into the suit.
Since I am not interested in having a very expensive
"damp-suit", I wanna fix it, so here are a couple of
          questions:

          1) As the suit is relatively new, will DUI (IYHO) replace
the zipper for free if I send it out to San Diego with a
letter of explanation? I have never dealt with these folks
          before.

          2) If so, what kind of turnaround can I expect if I wanna
have some other minor ajustments (zipper cover and thigh
          pocket put on)??

          3) I can fix the thing myself by saturating the fabric
showing through with aquaseal and then putting a layer on
the inside and out when it's dry. Anyone got a better way
to approach this or reason I shouldn't try it???

Thanks for any info you might have to share,

          Pat
