the local paper reported that The Gulf Stream II sank about a mile offshore of Riviera Beach, just north of Palm Beach, Fl. on sunday, 1/26/97. No one was injured. Coast guard was alerted to the sinking by other boaters in the area who had picked up nearly all of the divers by the time a Coast Guard crew arrived at 10 a.m. The boat, which sank in water 80 to 100 feet deep, had not been raised by late Sunday, so any investigation into what when wrong is still pending. I dove with this operation twice. I was unimpressed with the apparent casualness with which they ran their operation i.e., not sticking anywhere close to departure times, crowding etc. +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Please send messages for the WreckDiver list to: wreckdiver@wreckdiver.com Send subscription and help requests to: wreckdiver-request@wreckdiver.com +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+
