Steve, I agree completely with your post. And although at some times I take offense to the brarage of foul language I have reconsidered my thoughts on it. Consider this for a moment. Techdiver and Wreckdiver are Cavediver not staffed newgroups. They are not funded operations that have researchers and editors posting the latest newsworthy information. These lists are tantamount to a local bar near the court house. At the end of the day (around 5 pm) (and there are some who frequent the bar during the day for a fix) wise souls who have been arguing points for thier clients on opposit sides of the table gather around for a drink and to blow off steam. Each day there is a new wise man --- he has had one of those great days, and people want to hear what he has to say. Around 5:40 or so the hotshot shows up. Full of piss and vinegar he makes sure everyone in the place knows he is there. He just won a case, got a big fee etc and must tell us all. In the meantime the drinks are flowing and the language gets slurred and the explitives are used to replace appropriate words. As opposed to "Judge Quakenbush said " it turns into "This F--k'n Judge" When it gets out of hand someone (usually when a lady is present) says: "Hey buddy watch your mouth." three more foul words flow out and he will go to the head relive himself and it stops. So with that I would hope that the Major Domo of WreckDiver will realize that unless he is looking to have a Sunday Church Sermon here on Wreck Diver every day that he should remain the owner of the bar and let the patrons beat each other to hell.
