I have noticed on several (4 or 5) of the new Poseidon integrated first 
stages the over-pressure relief tends to leak, with the intermediate 
air pressure within specifications.  Another regulator however had a 
slow creep in the intermediate air pressure because there was an O-ring 
missing inside the regulator. The new first stage is essentially the 
same as the previous design except all components assemble from only 
one end (lower cost to manufacture). Not all parts are interchangeable. 
The new first stage has an over-pressure relief to accommodate the 
non-adjustable Triton 2nd stage which is an upstream regulator. Similar 
to the Odin the Triton will not relieve excess intermediate pressure; 
the Odin has a relief feature in the hose connection to the 2nd stage. 
The Cyklon is a down-stream regulator and like most 2nd stages will 
relieve pressure. Unfortuantely since the plastic valve assembly in the 
Triton is a cartridge and is not adjustable, there is little you can do 
to eliminate free-flow, unless there are leaks in the connecting seals 
or you lower the intermediate air pressure. 

I think this over-pressure relief on the new first stage is an 
additional failure point when used with the Odin and Cyklon 2nd stages. 
It is just not necessary.  I would like to find out if anyone on this 
list is experiencing leakage from the over-pressure port on the new 
first stages. Also I would like to know if anyone has found an O-ring 
missing from inside the 1st stage regulator. I intend to recommend a 
design modification to Poseidon to "plug" this overpressure port on 
Odin and Cyklon regulators (probably end up doing it myself). I don't 
think we will be seeing any Tritons sold in this country; if so the 1st 
stage could include the over-pressure port (hopefully the seat will be 
redesigned).
