No one has any business breathing off your tank. They could get hurt. You're
own story shows it's going to happen anyway.

Nevertheless, you cannot expect people to interpret a symbol (unmarked tank)
differently just cause they are around you and you decide it means something
else. How do they know this? What steps are you taking to prevent the rest of
the world from touching potentially dangerous stuff? The story you related
shows, imo, that your approach doesnt produce the result you are after.

Your position is clear, and you're restating it to people who understand it.
How does your equipment communicate your position to the uninfomed that might
come in contact with it?

They are not marked for my convenience. They are marked because you share the
world with others not clued in to your private system. There is a generally
accepted and recognized identification system in place. We should reasonably be
able to conclude, without some notice to the contrary, that you use the same
system as everyone else. They are marked because you owe a standard of care to
those around you when you are handling potentially harmful stuff that they are
not trained in recognizing and handling.

You need to take reasonable care to ensure that forseeably preventable accidents
dont occur. I put vodka in a water bottle and keep it in my fridge. What can i
expect to happen?

I dont see a general disregard or recklessness for the ignorant masses as
accomplishing anything.
