Mike, >All the unmarked tanks had 36% in them. Had Jammer's tanks been >marked with Nitrox stickers how would that have helped in ***this*** >situation? NOT AT ALL. Unless I'm reading too much into the story, had Jammer's tanks been labeled, the diver "might" have first asked a question instead of assuming the reasonable. I still say the real issue it the MISUSE of the nitrox stickers in this situation. Had the "air" cylinders NOT been marked, and Jammers, been marked, I submit the situation would in all likelihood not have occured at all. But you then go on to say: >My own standard is that I mark my (nitrox) tanks in other ways so noone >will mistake them for theirs. Their should thus be no confusion >about the gas in my tanks. I suggest Jammer did not mark hs tanks so noone would mistake them for theirs. And there was clearly confusion as to the gas in the tanks. Proper use of some generally accepted identification system on all the tanks would have avoided the entire incident. Art (Rat) Smith
