Subject: regeneratable absorbent

  Re reducing weight and bulk of supplies taken on remote diving expeditions,
what is available out of these?:-
  (1) Rebreather absorbent that can be regenerated on site by heating it.
  (2) Instead of lead weights, a ballast bag that can be filled on site with
sand or stones.
  (3) A device to separate oxygen from atmospheric air, that can be carried
about and its output fed into an aqualung-type compressor, to refill
rebreather cylinders on site.
