Anthony DeBoer refers in his post to a U-boat near him in Chicago. To 
find out how it got there, try to find a book called "U-505" by retired 
Rear Admiral Daniel V. Gallery. Library of Congress Catalog
Card# 56-11853. "Paperback Library" Division of Coronet Communications. 
The copy I have says  "3rd printing March 1971", which was probably the 
last printing. It's a very interesting story  -- you don't have to be a 
Navy/war/submarine/etc. fan to enjoy it.
