Thanks, and enjoy the list. Introduce myself? Well I am not a technical diver but am am a recreational diver. I avoid decompression dives, I dive on air and I rarely go below 40m. I am a neurophysiologist and I am (amoung other things) studying the effects of air embolism (call it decompression illness) on brain blood flow and function in an animal model. My research has shown even very small amounts of air in the brain can alter blood flow and function. Larger amounts are very bad, and none of this is due to bubbles blocking blood vessels. I want some insight into what sort of damage you people may (or may not?) be doing to yourselves. I hope you don't mind me 'looking over your shoulder' as it were. /Rat ps sorry about send that to the server! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ shelps@ac*.ma*.ad*.ed*.au* Bring in the bottled lightning, a clean tumbler, and a corkscrew.
