This has piqued my interest. What would "Technical Deep Air Diver" do that
you wouldn't require for "Trimix Diver".

The only problem is that it is IANTD specific. If the general opinion is that
it would still be useful then I have no problem with adding it, as long as
this structure is being pushed out world wide. If someone can send me brief
notes on each course (ie what purpose it serves) I will add details to the
document.

One thing that you have to watch is what I call the "Florida" syndrome. This
is diving advice which seems to be based on diving in Florida conditions but
is pushed out on a world-wide basis. I have even seen it in AC. As an example,
this rule about entering caves or wrecks to 130 linear feet and remaining
within the natural light area. If I was to dive within the natural light zone
I'd rarely get below 20ft in the River Clyde - forget the wrecks themselves.

As many of you will remember I promised to update the nitrox document a couple
of months ago. Unfortunately I have had very heavy business commitments over
this period and have not been able to do it. My diving has also been seriously
curtailed which is not pleasing me a great deal. Just to let you know that I
haven't forgotten about it.

I am away next week but if there is something here (about the courses) when I
get back I will ensure that it is added the following week.
