>From: ddrake01 >Would not the diaper with urine in it be likely to speed up the thermal loss >that occurs resulting in a frozen nether region similar to the fellow that >just decided to let loose in his new suit in the Pacific Northwest? You're kidding right?! First of all, diapers wick the liquid AWAY from the body. Anyone that has kids knows this. Second, there's still all the same thermal protection over your crotch region that's over the rest of your lower body (e.g. clothes) or in the case of thinsulate, over your whole body which has not been compromised. So, unless your diaper was your sole means of insulation you have not compromised the expected thermal properties of your suit at all. >I can see some face saving with a diaper if you had a sudden onset of >diarhea, but that's going to be bad period ;( I go with the P valve unless I >get somewhere pristine and untouched by the outside where presumably piss >would make a difference.--DD I would bet that P valves stand a greater chance of leaking than you do of tearing a suit. -Carl-
