For what it's worth, Bill Deans of Key West Diver uses a bank of three MiniOxs
rigged in series. He also has an analog O2 gauge (I forget the make, but could
find out) which he likes because it takes much less time for a reading, but it
was out of service while I was there. Deans suggested that using one MiniOx
would be OK, but recommended taking more than one reading. Since I tend to use
nitrox for added safety (I like using EAN50 for deco) rather than extended
bottom time, I typically just measure the FO2 at the shop and then don't bother
measuring before use. If/when I get seriously into mix, I suspect owning an
analyzer will be more critical. So if anyone is putting in an order for a case
of analyzers, count me in.
