What is a standard and what is a Gensis inlet?
In Europe we have a standard:
EN 144-1 "Respiratory protective devices - Gas cylinder valves - Thread
for insert connector" (approved May 1991 by CEN = Euopean Committee for
Standardisation).

This document recognizes three threads:
M18x1,5
M25x2
and
E17con

the last one is a conical thread with sealing in the thread,
the other two are parallel with o-rings as seals.

This standard will have a 15 year adaption period when local standars
still are accepted.
