Mr. Raimo:

You say that with regard to being interested in diver safety, I showed you
otherwise. Remember, our disagreement was over (1) whether a dive shop should be
set up as a EANx and/or tech facility and (2) whether a particular individual
should be trained as a nitrox instructor.

Regarding (1) the store in question was already supplied with all the tools by
the time you warned me. I was not about to cut them off cold at that point,
which would have increased the chances that they would put together and operate
a dangerous system.

Regarding (2), you talked to me in a professional, civil manner over a period of
time and although I did not agree to overtly turn the student away, you won.
That individual was not trained. I had no hard feelings; I thought that you felt
the same way.

Regarding the law suit threat, I apologize. After looking at your post, you
really didn't say anything bad (other than calling me an "asshole", which of
course I find offensive). There was a slight implication that the student was
trained, but no big deal. Your money and mine is best used by our families, not
our attorneys.

Regarding my experience, I don't claim to have a lot of it, just enough that I
can have safe fun doing the dives I do, and enough to train students to the
levels that the certifying agencies allow. I only mentioned my experience
because I was told that I didn't  "do this stuff". I didn't even mention that I
was an instructor.

I wasn't trying to give advice to Mr Irvine, in fact I agreed with his comments
about not pushing PO2s. The response was hostile.

I have considered this idea of fucking myself. I don't think I would like it. I
don't think my wife would like it either.

You usually sign your posts "Safe Diving, Raimo" you only signed "Raimo" this
time, so I shall use your signoff. I hope it's not copyrighted, we don't need to
give our attorneys any (more) money.
