Hi Carl -

I can't point to specifics regarding O2 to air transitions at altitude,
but I would suggest starting with the fundamental work that went into
defining the NATOPS rules for aviators. On observation I made privately
to Joan is that aviators are required to go to pure O2 at operational
altitudes (cabin pressures) above 12,500' MSL. I don't know of any
rule that prohibits returning directly to air after the vehicle descends
below 12,500'. Any Navy pilots out there?

Scott.
