On observation I made privately to Joan is that aviators are required to go to pure O2 at operational altitudes (cabin pressures) above 12,500' MSL. I don't know of any rule that prohibits returning directly to air after the vehicle descends below 12,500'. Any Navy pilots out there? Scott.
