Raimo -

I did nitrox through IANTD last March and my instructor wasn't in the water
for the two required dives.  Personally, I don't understand why the dives are
even required much less why the instructor would have to be in the water
for them.  After all, the class doesn't attempt to teach any diving skills,
only physics and a little physiology.  I think the dives are just one way
of justifying the high price of the certification.
