Got the aquaCorps number for those of you who couldn't get it from info 800-365-2655. Now a question for the experienced divers: Are safety margins based just on your own experience with getting bent and seeing friends on similar profiles bent? Have you all been bent to some level, and just waited it out or recompressed in water or gone to a chamber? Why I bring this up is I was talking with my buddy about MiG technologies' MiGplan software, which allows you to set a margin of safety. Back on the tables, you were supposed to round up a class for cold water, exertion, etc. Now whether you use something like MiGplan or just pad all your stops, how do do come up with your margins? My buddy's argument was that being involved in a DAN doppler study would give you the info you'd need. I am not so sure; I would bet that the doppler is only good enough to tell you whether or not you have silent non-symptomatic bubbes, but is not good enough to tell you how close to bent you are. From what I've read, some divers bubble in these studies, some don't. I am not sure that there is a margin, say 10%, that you can dial in at all your stops that will keep you from bubbling; silent bubbles for some divers may be a part of offgassing, and for these divers, a margin that prevents bubbling may be really really really conservative. I guess I'm getting off track ffrom my question above, but what I'm trying to say is that there may be a safe zone for many divers which still includes silents bubbles in the bloodstream. <-> It's not too late to run away and join the circus <*> <*> Roger Carlson roger@ch*.sp*.tr*.co* <-> <-> 310-812-0430 w 310-812-1363 f 310-frogger h <*>
