Ken: I agree whole heartadly with the conservative nature of depth on air and PPO2 levels. I try and keep 1.3 as max. Its my understanding the Navy is at 1.2. With the recent hit (Lusitania?) at little extra deco time is fine. Its dangerous enough in a cave, and easier than we would like to believe, to make mistakes that we know better about. A little more narcosis and the problem (not mentioning the increased risk of DCS) can quickly become fatal. If anyone else has any other ideas on what they do to reduce the risks maybe they will post for all to evaluate. Maybe its time to look into FFM more seriously for O2 decompression? As more than an option but a strong re ccomendation or requirement? (As far as teaching is concerned.) I too want to take Tri-mix without spending a lot of time with deep air. Do it as needed, but would prefer to spend the time and money training with mix and skills that go with diving it, rather than seeing how much nitrogen my tissues can handle, and how narced I can get and still ascend safely!
