Not terribly new here, (been lurking for a while) but thought I should introduce myself. I have been certified for 3 years and have done most of my diving in the waters around Ohio (quarries and Great Lakes) while I was doing my Master's. I am now back in Raleigh, North Carolina and looking forward to hitting the wrecks off the coast (in addition to warmer waters) :-) Wreck diving (beyond the 'sport' limits) is my main motivation in learning more about techincal diving (plus I just HAD to go see the pretty monsters at 131 feet :-) ) I'm very open to any suggestions on good wreck penetration courses. As the North Carolina wrecks are not exactly shallow, I'm also curious if I can expect a course with localized 'flavor' to these types of wrecks to cover the deco diving which may/not be needed (at a minimum for contingency plans), or if I should expect to pursue that separately. Secondly, is there a good paper/reference comparing the various tables (Navy, PADI, DCIEM, etc..)? I am not looking for an incredibly in depth (complex) comparison (yet...), but would like to see an (objective) comparison of things like "table A is more highly regarded for xyz type of diving, but has shortcomings in abc type of diving, etc.." Finally, I would like to know if there was any more discussion about fatigue after diving as a mild form of DCS. This was brought up last summer, I believe, but my school acct expired and I was not able to follow it up. Many thanks, Mike PS. I've had several people here take the time to xerox and mail me papers, etc, just like to say thanks. -- Mike Zimmerman zimmmt@au*.al*.co* PADI AOW/deep/drift My opinions, not Alcatel's "make me an informed fool, not an ignorant one"
