From a compartment-based perspective, at first galnce it seems good to get
off He asap, because it's getting into your body much faster. But I'm not
at all convinced that the compartment-based perspective is the best one.
The bubbl-based perspective is much more consistent with what I have
learned from my own experience about the importance of deep stops.

I can't say much about the value of deep stops on helium dives (where some
helium-mix is breathed on the deep stop), because I've never had any DCS
or Proto-DCS symptoms after helium dives, and I've never done a helium
dive without also doing deep stops (i.e., nothing to compare). Maybe those
two facts, when considered together, suggest something?

Aloha,
Rich
