     Does anyone have a good method for marking intervals on a reel line?
     
     I have a hundred foot "avalance cord" trailed behind climbers while on 
     a glacier.  The cord has a tab every 10 feet with the distance to then 
     end of the cord.  I'd like to make similar tabs for my dive reels. 
     Any ideas?
