Oceanic is shipping them.  My local shop has one.  $39.95 US.  My guess 
is that it accurate +- 500 PSI, which may be all you need for this 
application.

I'm not sure why this would be more or less failure prone than a regular 
gauge, with obvious exception of hose failure.
