While waiting for my tanks to be filled today (the [tagna*] put 50 bar too= =20 much air in one of them while he [halik*] some other customer's [pwet*].=20 This is the last time I don't stand by the compressor while my pots are=20 filled), I leafed trough the TUSA store catalog, and sumbled upon what could= =20 prove to be a real *GOOD THING*. I'm currently setting up a pony tank for myself. I've got the tank, the=20 valve, all I need is a reg and means to mount it. No rush, because I'm flat= =20 broke. The *GOOD THING*, or at least, I think it is one, is a tiny pressure gauge.= =20 "Pony gauge" it's called, I think. It is a very tiny pressure gauge that=20 screws into the HP port, reminiscent of a fire extinguisher gauge, but=20 obviously more rugged. It looks like a short stubby bolt with a largeish=20 head, inside which the gauge is. The thing looks rugged enough; presumably,= =20 it could withstand normal SCUBA gear use. Anybody got more info about it?=20 Ever used one?=20 Seen one?=20 Better yet: ever seen/heard of one fail during a dive or before or after? Are most probable non-leak failures immediately detectable on the gauge's= face? Could this be the best thing since the old Scubapro= valves-with-gauges-in-them? Oh, yes, the price is $52 Canadian, in Montr=E9al, which is not too= expensive,=20 considering the typical diveshop markup around here. Thanks. (* I'm swearing in Tagalog, so no one will be offended - except, of course,= =20 those who are fluent in Tagalog)... ---- =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D ---- I prefer to give a bit of my liberty to an elected government=20 rather than to unaccountable corporations. * Marc Dufour * [\] ACUC 6 31874 * http://WWW.CAM.ORG/~mdufour *
