Here I take exception. Although there are some methods which are clearly
unacceptable and other methods which are clearly superior, I do not accept
that there is ONLY ONE method which is ALWAYS superior, even when you
restrict the problem space to "clear, warm-water limestone caves in
Florida, for example." There are still variables. George and his clones
have clearly found procedures that work for them. This is good and we all
should view their procedures to see if there is something that they do
which might improve our own diving. However, I think that even they will
admit that there is not just one acceptable solution to EVERY problem. (As
a trivial example, what is the "best" mask?) We each need to evaluate all
procedures in the context of our own diving. We then should accept those
that work "best for us". And at the same time, we should be open to the
possibility that someone else may have an idea that is superior to the ones
that we expound.
