On IANTD training All IANTD programs allow for crediting of either previous experience or previous training . The standards define how this is made be done by the instructor , however it is the instructors decision to or not to credit previous backgroung comming into a course. Thus one can enter for instance an advanced EANx course directly if they meet the equivalent experience definition, One can enter a Tech EANx course if they meet the prior experience requirements. To become a trimix diver one must be certified as a technical EANx diver, thuis can be acheived by taking both the tech EANx course and trimix course together as a combined course. To become a IANTD trimix diver one must be trained or have sufficient practical experience to a depth of 160 feet. We encourage those who desire to dive beyond 160 to do so on mix. IANTD will not train divers beyond 190 + or - 10 feet on air the plus or minus is if one momentaitly exceeds the profile it is not as a square dive profile depth.
