In the new Oceanic catalog Bob Hollis makes mention of a HUD to be introduced by them some time this year. No details aside from the fact that they are working on a "hoseless/wireless instrument to transmit hing-pressure information to an in-mask receiver, where all your dive computer information will be holographically displayed, floating in front of your eyes!" It does seem inevitable that something like this would come into being and be commercially available. I mean if I can carry around a 7 lbs. notebook computer that has as much computing power as the 5 year old workstation on my desk why not a HUD for my mask. In other statements in the "editorial" he mentions other gas mixtures and advanced breathing systems that will further our ability to explore deeper and longer. He also states that Oceanic will be releasing "In the new future an advnced breathing system allowing 300 foot excursions!" Anybody hear about this new breathing system. Sounds like a recreational rebreather. Anybody that was at the Tek conference hear anything about this?
