Raimo, I can empathize with the fact that you
instructors need an agency with insurance, etc.
I also recognize that instructors like you and
Jarrod Jablonski, and others are teaching this
stuff properly. This is because you do it your-
self, and know what you're doing.
What all of you guys with credentials like
Raimo's need to start doing is insisting that
the agencies become consistent and coherent in
their policies and training. As a group you
have the clout, and therefor the responsibility
to straighten these agencies out.
All of you know the physiological consequences
as well as the risk potential of deep air. All
of you know the consequences of too high a PPO2.
All of you have been diving in current and know
the penalty for squirrley gear. All of you know
that the oil companies and other commercial
diving entities have done this experimenation
for you and documented it quite well.
My question is, when will your agency discover
this? Your risk is that they discover it in court.
