I was a little confused by this myself. From your post, it looks like
IANTD offers:

Recreational:                          Technical:

nitrox (28 -> 36)
advanced nitrox (up to 50) technical nitrox (depth to 170)

So there are 3 levels of nitrox, but no 'advanced technical nitrox'.
Correct? Is 'advanced nitrox' a prereq for 'technical nitrox'? I've
heard not, that they're different tracks, and that technical nitrox is not
required (or even recomended) for deep air & trimix. My instructor recomends
deep air (160&190) followed by trimix, and requires deep air before
'technical nitrox' on the grounds that all the real stress management
and task loading are done in deep air.

Regards,
Scott.
