From your post, it looks like IANTD offers: Recreational: Technical: nitrox (28 -> 36) advanced nitrox (up to 50) technical nitrox (depth to 170) So there are 3 levels of nitrox, but no 'advanced technical nitrox'. Correct? Is 'advanced nitrox' a prereq for 'technical nitrox'? I've heard not, that they're different tracks, and that technical nitrox is not required (or even recomended) for deep air & trimix. My instructor recomends deep air (160&190) followed by trimix, and requires deep air before 'technical nitrox' on the grounds that all the real stress management and task loading are done in deep air.
