Hi All,

Nitrox in scarpa flow?

Scarps is in the ideal air range, ie deeper than 20mtrs and no deeper than
50mtrs. Air with O2 deco is by far the best choice.

Yes i mean NITROX !

Why taking the risk of pure O2 decompression when you can nearly
double your no decompression time with a 32 or 36 NITROX in the range
around 30 m .i prefer to stay on the bottom and avoid unnecc. hangs.

And Sue said the wrecks were at the following depths;

Konig 40m
Kronprinz Willhelm 34m
Dresden 34m
Koln 34m
Brummer 34m
Karksruhe 24m

Just for interest sake I tried out all three depths (40, 34 and 24m)
for both nitrox and air with O2 deco.

From this we discover (again!) that everyone is right!

I would still use air with O2 though for the following reasons.

*No analysis is required, and so it is both cheaper and safer (less
chance of mistakes when mixing, and no need to handle HP O2)
*You can use the bottom mix anywhere, so last minute change of
plan means you can still dive. If you have mixed NTX for 24m and
you move to a wreck in 40.....
*Air is cheap, and you use more bottom mix than deco gas. Hence
you get a lower overall cost. Also O2 remaining in the cylinder
can be used for more dives, NTX cylinders need to be drained before
refilling.
*You have O2 set up and ready to go for O2 IWR if needed.
*Tests have indicated that high PPO2's are better tolerated when
breathing pure O2 rather than a mixture with the same PPO2.
*You don't have to find the guy with the gas panel at the spot where
he is now, before he goes somewhere else (like offshore!).

Cheers Jason =:)

OH... Don't dive these shedules! I just transfered them by *memory*
from one screen to the other!!!!! (my memory isn't good!) The
total stop times should be right, but the others! I don't know!
