Hi, I recently received a free copy of DeepTech Journal in the mail and feel that since you were nice enough to send me a copy I would in turn take the time to send you a letter explaining why I don't plan to subscribe at this time. From what I have seen, DeepTech Journal appears to be well written and well laid out. It does not suffer from the excesses that Aqua Corp has fallen prey to in recent issues. All in all, DeepTech Journal appears to be a high quality publication. The problem is, when one is paying a premium price for a specialty magazine that magazine should contain leading edge information that is not available from other sources. I am not a technical diver yet my reading on the subject both in books and on the net has already gained me insight and knowledge that in general goes beyond what I read in your magazine. I would rate DeepTech Journal as a publication written for recreational divers who might be tech diver wannabes. I would not rate it as a publication for technical divers or even advanced divers such as myself who want an in depth understanding of the technology, techniques and physics of advanced and technical diving. I think that for $9-10 an issue a publication should provide truly leading edge information that is unavailable elsewhere. I have not seen this in the issue of DeepTech Journal that was sent to me. I wish you the best in your endevor and if DeepTech Journal addresses the issues I cited I will be happy to reconsider and possibly subscribe. If you should have any specific questions in regards to this matter please feel free to contact me via email. Sincerely, Eric Marsh
