Subject: Technical issues
This morning I received a e-mail asking me why I don't participate more
actively in decussions of decompression theory here on the list. I replied
that in my oppinion it just wasn't worth all the Flames that result from
discussing controversial activites. Because of a few people, and their
inability to discuss topics in a civil manner, some subjects are not getting
explored as they might otherwise be.

I also went on to mention that I am rebuilding our WWW site to include a new
section devoted soley to topics surrounding technical diving. One of the
areas I want to cover are the many various decompression theories that are
currently floating about.
So far I have basic pages on.

DCAP, Decompression Computation and Analysis Program
RGBM, Reduced Gradient Bubble Model
Bulk Difusion Model
Multi-Tissue Model
Thermodynamic Model
Tissue Bubble Difusion Model

So, I am curious to know what resources you might like to see there.
Are there other deco models you would like to see discussed?
Are there other topics relevant to technical diving that need to be represented?

Do you have a favorite article on technical diving that you would like to
have a place to make it available?

This site is also going to be multi-lingual.
All of the main pages are being translated into French, German and Italian
(possibly SA Portuguese).
So if you have a foreign text article, we might be able to use it as well.

These are just some thoughts. I have now found over 2,200 WWW sites related
to diving. Some have bits and pieces of technical information, but none of
them can stand as a major resource for technical diving information by
themself. I hope to be able to correct that problem with a commercial
quality site where you can find the information you are looking for.

If this catches your interest, let me know.
If on the otherhand, this mearly sparks a flame on your flamethrower, and
the only thing you have to offer are terse remarks, PLEASE, RESIST the urge
for a change. We really don't need to make this list any less friendly than
it already is.
