I know techdiver came into being b/c rec.scuba wasn't hospitible
to tech topics being discussed there, but just in case
anyone cares :-) ......
This is a quick (and hopefully non-intrusive) note to let
any possible net.divers know that a reorganization of
the USENET group rec.scuba has been proposed and is being
discussed in the groups news.groups and somewhat in
rec.scuba under the thread
RFD: rec.scuba reorganization
In an effort to save bandwidth I am not repeating the
whole RFD (Request for Disussion) here. You can find it on
either of the newsgroups, or I can email it to you.
PLEASE DO NOT reply to this message without making sure
that you are replying to me

unless you really feel that the whole mailing list needs to
see your reply.
Sorry to toss in a topic not directly related to the list.
It is strongly suggested that all group reorgs be announced
as widely (to potentially interested parties) as possible though
(so diving related mailing lists are included)
